Refund Policy
Last updated Document refunds
This is a provisional draft.
This text has not yet been through legal review. It describes how we intend to operate and is published early so you can read it before you buy — but do not treat it as final or as legal advice. Ask us at support@gplreal.com if any of it matters to a decision you are about to make.
The short version
You may request a refund within 14 days of your purchase. We would rather refund you than have you feel cheated.
Digital content and your statutory right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content that right is lost once download begins, but only if you gave express consent and acknowledged the loss at the time. We ask for that consent explicitly at checkout.
Our own 14-day policy below is offered in addition to your statutory rights and is more generous than the statutory position: we will still consider a refund after you have downloaded, on the grounds set out next.
When we refund
- The archive is corrupt, incomplete, or is not the product described.
- The product will not install or activate on a supported WordPress version.
- You were charged twice, or charged after cancelling.
- A membership renewed unexpectedly and you have not downloaded since.
When we may decline
- The request is made more than 14 days after purchase.
- You have downloaded a large share of the catalogue on a membership — bulk downloading followed by a refund request is the pattern this exception exists for.
- The product works as described and you have simply changed your mind after downloading, and you consented to the loss of withdrawal at checkout.
- The complaint is that the original author will not support you. That is stated plainly before you buy; see our GPL notice.
How to request one
Contact support with your order number. We reply within one business day and process approved refunds to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
What happens to your access
A refund revokes the access it paid for. Files already downloaded remain yours under the GPL — we cannot and do not claim otherwise — but the download and update service for that purchase ends.
